The Bible Society Collection houses an extremely rare Christian lectionary that represents the cultural confluence of sixteenth-century Colonial Mexico. A translation of Latin scriptures into the Aztec language (Nahuatl), the manuscript is the focus of Dr Joshua Fitzgerald’s talk, where he will explore the transatlantic context and material aspects of its production to reveal the meaning behind its hidden lessons.
