Set in a beautiful barn conversion studio, on the outskirts of Leeds. Private venue with lots of free parking. No steps - very accessible. This is a 3 hour session, starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. Drinks and refreshments are available.

We start with a practical demonstration of felt-making, an exploration of all the different wool and other fibres that I have available for you to use.

We will use any selection of fibres to design your bowl and felt it over a plastic resist. You can use any combination of fibres and colours.

Select from a wide choice of gorgeous coloured wools, fibres and textural yarns. Explore blending and mixing wool colours and different types of fibres together. Learn about the differing properties of wool and plant fibres. Try out embedding different fibres and yarns into the felted surface to create texture and form in your felted bowl.

Other workshops are available for families and friends in the studio.

Please get in touch to discuss the options and possibilities.

Katy will show you her work and explain what to expect from the workshop and the processes we will use.

Katy will teach you, demonstrate and work with you to create a bowl of your choice. We will use beautifully soft Merino wool fibres. Wetting the fibres, adding soap and lots of massage agitation, your work will felt together.
