The Thread Republic Pop-Up  Sustainable Textiles Community Hub will be open Nov '22- Feb '23 at, Unit 18 in Huddersfield's Piazza Shopping Centre, with a wonderful mix of  workshops, a textile Scrap Store, sewing machine hire, socials and more.

This session we&#x27;ll be making our own festive macrame decorations from a variety of cords in different sizes. It&#x27;s the perfect craft for anyone who likes to make their own decorations and learn new craft techniques.You&#x27;ll learn all the macrame knots you&#x27;ll need to make a variety of different designs and you should leave with a few finished pieces and a few instructional sheets to make more at home. The techniques learnt in this session will work for much bigger macrame pieces too.Skill Level: BeginnerYou’ll need: Nothing!Materials included: Macrame cords, rings, beadsLed by: Kim SearleHealthy &amp; Safety: during the workshop everyone will have their own materials and tools. Sanitiser and disinfectant will be available. If you feel unwell please let us know and stay home.The space has level access, however the toilet is down a few sets of stairs.Course conditions:the workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn&#x27;t meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 7 days before the event however after that no refund can be given. Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes before the workshop starts, unless previously discussed.This workshop is part of Thread Republics pop up at the Piazza. From November we’ll be running a program of workshops, drop in, activities and more alongside a textile scrap store.
