Her work aims to make complex scientific and medical concepts accessible, engaging, and impactful through multimedia art, visual storytelling, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Arunima will be sharing her journey and research exploring cancer communication through tumour-inspired art, gene-inspired interactive learning tools, and comics about Leukaemia and Melanoma, developed in collaboration with clinicians. Reflecting on how art, stories, and creative engagement help people learn, communicate, and emotionally connect with science, especially when it comes to something as complex and personal as Cancer. Tammie EsslemeontThe Power of Youth co-production and Art in building a better tomorrowTammie Esslemont is co-founder of a Nature Over Natter, a project that empowers young aritsts across the UK to engage with the climate crisis in hopeful and positive way.How does the dual crises of mental health and climate overlap? How can engagement through the arts inspire hope, create positive change, and re-write the narrative on these challenges facing South Wales? Ethel Wynard-NadzoFounder and CEO of ThriveScapeWorld—a climate-positive consultancy empowering corporations to meet their ESG goals and offset carbon footprints through strategic, high-impact urban greening. Ethel and her team identify and transform underused grey spaces—concrete car parks, barren rooftops, vacant lots—into biodiverse green havens, right in the towns and cities where clients, colleagues, and communities live and breathe. Onismo MuhlangaOnismo Muhlanga is a multidisciplinary artist whose expression is from lived experience, youth work, ancestral reconnection, and community collaboration, Onismo activities reflects on rhythm, digital storytelling, and the responsibility of us in shaping cultural memory and preservation.&nbsp;Our (heART) is a Response: Between Art vs Content&nbsp;This talk explores how intentional expression is a response, a way to keep memory alive, reclaim heritage, and resist the pressure to reduce our integrity and community.
