Hosted by Fife Museums Forum this free event is designed to give people working in museums and heritage the chance to step back from day-to-day pressures, meet colleagues from across the region and explore common challenges and opportunities.

The morning programme includes:

  • A welcome from Fife Museums Forum
  • Presentations on University of St Andrews placements, including both theory and student experience
  • A talk on the Unicorn Ukraine Project, exploring partnership working and collaboration
  • Facilitated breakout discussions focusing on engagement with new audiences and volunteers
  • Quick-fire updates from museums colleagues
  • A feedback and open discussion session
  • Informal networking time

Following the morning sessions, attendees will be invited to visit either St Andrews Heritage Museum & Garden, St Andrews Castle, or St Andrews Cathedral.

Anyone working or volunteering in Fife’s museums and heritage sector, including staff, volunteers, freelancers and trustees.

Venue & practical information

The event takes place at St Andrews Town Hall, centrally located with good public transport links.

Tea and coffee will be provided. Attendees are welcome to bring a packed lunch or grab lunch in the town centre.

The event is free to attend, but advance booking is required.
