Find Your Future 2020

If you are interested in working as an apprentice or trainee in film, TV, theatre or live events then 'Find Your Future' is the careers event for you and it's free to attend!

BECTU, the media & entertainment union, and Westminster Kingsway College are hosting this event at the King's Cross Centre to showcase the apprenticeship and trainee opportunities on offer from a host of employers across the media and entertainment sectors. If you are interested in a creative future, this event will help you decide on your next steps. Which career path will inspire you?

The event is aimed at 16-24 year olds who are not pursuing higher education, and are looking for opportunities in the creative industries. All those interested in apprenticeships and trainee schemes, including teachers and parents are very welcome to attend.

So come and meet employers and other supportive organisations in the Market Place, take part in our workshops, panel discussions and talks. let us help you Find Your Future.

Join Matt Noddings Technical Director at the English National Opera and Kath Geraghty, Apprenticeship manager at the National Theatre to discuss opportunities for a career in theatre and live events.

Nina Fosu Recruitment Coordinator from DiVa Apprenticeships and Yasmin Mehmet from Channel 4’s 4Talent talk about how best to navigate applying for apprenticeship placements.

Panel 3: So you want to work in Film and TV?

Sue Russo – training and development manager from Film Fixer and Gareth Ellis-Unwin - Head of Film for Screen Skills discuss how best to access the industry, the opportunities that are available for young people and where to look for training and work experience.

Panel 4: Getting your foot in the door – creating opportunities for young workers
