Fire during construction – a timber frame approach to demonstrating compliance
Join us for the second talk by Paul Newman from the Structural Timber Association; the STA publishes several key documents that project teams and STA member manufacturers can use to help them demonstrate that they are meeting the legal requirements of CDM (2015) and the guidance provided in HSG 168. This session will outline the response project teams are expected to make to mitigate the risk of fire during construction.
About the RIBA East Small Practice Network: This successful network was set up in response to requests from small or emerging practices, often sole practitioners, for a friendly and supportive forum where those with less experience and opportunities to network might meet to share thoughts and experiences. Now running for nearly 5 years, the network’s co-chairs host monthly online meetings which often include engaging guest speakers or informal CPD sessions in addition to networking, and two in-person events a year supported by the RIBA Local Initiative Funding. The network is open to sole practitioners or small practices with five employees or less, located within the eastern region.
