We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) & we run as a not-for-profit. In our space we have a beautiful art gallery and artists studios. We run many workshops and events, for both our local community and the general public.As a CIC, we are committed to reinvesting our profits back into the community, ensuring sustainable and lasting impact. Firepit Tales is a spoken word poetry event that's all about connecting people through the power of words. Whether you're a fan of poetry, spoken word, or simply looking for a unique and engaging evening out, Firepit Tales is a must see / hear event. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to be inspired and moved.Tickets. Open Mic Performers tickets are free. Audience members, we have 15 discounted early bird audience tickets, available until 15th Feb. Then standard tickets are available. Also reduced group tickets are available. All money raised goes towards helping us keep Firepit running. Saying that, Firepit is an inclusive space and we really do not want people to be exluded because of money. Please send a message info@firepit.art and we'll add you to the guest list free of charge.Firepit Tales is a monthly event, taking place on the last Wednesday of every month.The night will be hosted by Uncle London <a href="https://www.instagram.com/uncle_londonn/" title="https://www.instagram.com/uncle_londonn/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@uncle_londonn</a> There is an open mic sign up and we would love to hear your voice.Feel free to bring your own drinks along with you.Firepit is a unique space, we have a gallery of beautiful and relevant art, artist studio spaces and an area that was made for spoken work and performance events. In a slightly sunken room, surrounded by wood, with a firepit keeping you warm, red carpet and furniture. You will sit around the room with you MC in the centre leading the night. The mic's are connected to a Bang &amp; Olufsen speaker system that surround every part of the room.We are excited to be hosting this regular monthly event.Doors open 6.30pm - Open mic Sign Up - 6:30pmShow starts @ 7pm Finishing at 9 / 9:30pmSee you there!The nearest tube is North Greenwich on the Jubilee line.
