First Contact Playtest

We're playtesting a megagame of what could happen if aliens were to visit the Earth and would love you to come and help us!

We're designing a brand new megagame called First Contact: 2035 which will play out what could happen if aliens visited Earth, planned for 2022, but we need to test our rulebooks and make sure we haven't fundamentally broken any mechanics.

The playtest requires around 23 players and we plan to run at least 3 turns, lasting 45 mins each. You will be cast as aliens visiting Earth, or one of five African military commanders defending the continent.

This playtest will focus on the alien game and we'll need you to bring your critical eye with you. What do you think went well from your perspective and what could be improved?

This won't be a standard megagame, so while we hope players have fun, this exercise is more about understanding whether the game we have created works, makes sense and doesn't break down in the middle of turn one.
