About this event

Business • Non Profit

This entertaining and interactive “Unconventional Convention” experience challenges participants to reflect through behavioural profiling. This First Friday will explore how your decisions, reactions, and interactions reveal more than you think, understanding the why behind the what. Through a tailored taster version of the usual full experience, we will be challenged to redefine how we connect, engage and interact with - and through - challenges using the latest Virtual Reality (VR) technology in an exciting scenario-based environment.

The exercise will be framed by a tutorial on behavioural and personality preferences, during which individual preferences will be identified. Behavioural and personality profiling are systematic ways of understanding individuals’ behavioural and personality preferences, providing a tool for improvement through individuals, teams and ultimately, organisational performance. Attendees will be asked during the session to self-identify in terms of defined behavioural profiles. The goal is to reflect on how our personality impacts on the ways in which we work together in teams and how we approach and solve challenges.

Hosted by Coventry University and Glued Marketing, the “Unconventional Convention” brings you expertise on innovation, observation and implementation. The session will be led by Sameenah Hoque, Digital Media Lecturer at Coventry University who specialises in experimental immersive technology and digital arts, together with Rob Harrison, Consultancy Partner at Glued, a marketing and design business, Chair for the West Midlands of the Federation of Small Businesses and a Coventry & Warwickshire First member. Rob is a trained mentor and coach whose interest in mental health has evolved his practice into business support and individual and team performance.

This First Friday experience offers a new take on team building, problem solving and business performance.
