First Spark 2026
Join us at Soundart Radio to celebrate Imbolc with radio rituals and live performances.
Come and join First Spark festival at Soundart Radio, where we celebrate the mid-point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox with creative responses to the sparks of new light, electricity, transmission and inspiration, coinciding with the ancient Festival of Imbolc or Candlemas.
An afternoon of live, community performances including 'The Void: The Musical 'with Ergo Phizmiz and Lottie Depresstival and electronic improvisation from members of RE#SISTER, a community of women and non-binary artists, musicians and experimentalists visiting from Rotterdam.
There will be opportunites to take part in community broadcasting and radio rituals.
Drinks and snacks available from the Soundart Bar.
