Event description

Description

The Centre for HumAnE Bioarchaeology, University of Exeter, is hosting a free two-day training workshop on fish analysis.

The workshop brings together the country's leading archaeological fish specialists who will provide an introduction to the analysis of ancient fish remains. We will explore how the same archaeological techniques can be deployed to address modern day issues of marine biology and animal conservation - e.g. the analysis of otter spraints and sea mammal gut contents.

As such the workshop is intended for researchers within a variety of fields and we are keen to have equal representation from Archaeology (n=15 places) and Biology/Zoology (n=15 tickets) - please sign up to the correct ticket.

The event is free, with lunch provided both days. Attendees will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Please get in touch with Naomi Sykes (n.sykes@Exeter.ac.uk) for further details and advice on local accommodation.
