Bright Blue is the independent think tank and pressure group for liberal conservatism. We defend and improve liberal society. It was first formed in 2014 by Ryan Shorthouse and a group of policymakers and campaigners who were passionate about applying liberal conservative ideas and insights to tackle the major economic and social problems of the modern day.Today, we are a respected and leading think tank – as well as a membership organisation – which delivers an extensive programme of research, publications and events. Our thinking and ideas have had significant influence on public debate and government policy. Bright Blue

The 2019 Bright Blue annual conference is this year entitled Fixing the future. This half-day conference will include a keynote speech by The Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP, Secretary of State for Education.   The Government is currently consumed by Brexit. But Bright Blue remains determined to explore and promote domestic reform. In particular, we believe it is necessary for politicians and policymakers to better support young adults.   The conference will include breakout sessions with leading decision makers and opinion formers, centred around the following key themes affecting young adults: learning, living, thinking, earning, conserving, and relating.
