3Digital immigration status, eVisa, digital IDs are all to make our life easier and the government would have us believe they “cannot be broken, stolen or tampered with”.

However, lived experience of thousands of people shows the opposite as people are unable to access and prove their status due to internet or system outages, technical glitches, Home Office mistakes or digital exclusion.

The impact is more than statistics. It is human lives being suspended in a digital limbo, people losing job opportunities, unable to rent or travel.
