Electricity North West owns, operates and maintains the North West’s electricity distribution network, connecting 2.4 million properties, and more than 5 million people in the region to the National Grid.Our network covers a diverse range of terrain, from isolated farms in rural areas such as Cumbria, to areas of heavy industry and urban populations including Manchester.Part of our role as network operator is to plan for the future. To meet government carbon reduction targets we need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels like gas and petrol and change to renewable sources. We understand how busy our stakeholders are and that finding the time to respond to our <a href="https://www.enwl.co.uk/globalassets/go-net-zero/flexible-services/ofgem-procurement-statement/consultation-2022/distribution-flexibility-procurement-consultation---2022.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">flexibility services consultation </a>via online form or email may be a struggle, so we&#x27;re hosting a webinar on Wednesday 14th September from 10:00am-12:00pm to run through our consultation document and gather feedback on the spot.About our consultationOur current flexible services processes and how we develop our tenders is a work in progress. We have considered and incorporated the customer and stakeholder feedback we have received to date, but there are still areas where we need your input. As part of our latest Distribution Flexibility Procurement Statement, we committed to leading a consultation over the summer period to better understand our stakeholder’s views of how we procure Flexible Services and our future plans prior to the launch of our Autumn 2022 Flexibility tender. This consultation is open from Friday 5th August until Friday 30th September and will be available to view on <a href="https://www.enwl.co.uk/globalassets/go-net-zero/flexible-services/ofgem-procurement-statement/consultation-2022/distribution-flexibility-procurement-consultation---2022.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">our website.</a>The consultation outlines our current processes for signposting, procuring, dispatching, and settling flexible services and asks for stakeholder feedback on what we could do to improve on these processes so that we can continue to work on removing barriers to participation.AgendaWe will discuss our consultation document, using polls to capture responses to each question.
