AfroFutures_UK is a connective made up of artists, writers, activists and academics interested in exploring the future black experience through multi-media and disruptive technologies.

Comics making workshop with Charlotte Bailey
Join us for a two hour workshop as you learn how to create narratives through the comics medium
Cosplay Catwalk
The category is... whatever you want it to be! Get a cosplayer's ticket or sign up on the day to strut your stuff and win special prizes...!

Yomi Ayeni is an award winning London based transmedia producer, author and film maker. He specialises in crafting interactive and engaging narratives across multiple platforms. Co creator of the award winning <A HREF="http://www.clockworkwatch.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Clockwork Watch</A> a transmedia story told through graphic novels, live events, online, and film, Yomi's work explores alternate histories and how technologies can both impact our social environments and shape our perceptions of self.

<H3><A HREF="http://www.peterkalu.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Peter Kalu</A></H3>
Poet, fiction writer and playwright, Peter Kalu is a Manchester based writer and winner of Kodak/Liverpool Film Festival and the BBC/Contact threate Dangrous Comedy Script awards. With eight novels, two film scripts and three theatre plays produced to date, Kalu is known for his seamless integration of diverse characters into realistic and futuristic settings. He has also been learning to tightrope walk for the last ten years.

Illustrator, comic artist and zinemaker extraordinaire, Sammy Boras has had her work featured in a wide range of publications from magazines to anthologies and is well known for her prodigious output of wonderfully crafted music zines and as the creator of '<A HREF="http://giantrhinos.blogspot.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Giant Rhinos in Space</A>' webcomic. She is a member of Laydeez do Comics, Birmingham.
