Film City Futures is a charitable organisation originally established to provide training and development opportunities in the film and screen industries in Scotland.Our mission is to connect people, space and opportunity, enabling access and entry to the screen industries for all – acting as a catalyst for participation, learning, and innovation.We are based at Film City Glasgow – a centre for the screen industries in Scotland – which houses over 25 companies from across the production and post-production sector.Our current project - FOCUS - creates the opportunity for screen sector companies in Scotland to acces sector specific business advice and support.

UK high-end television production spend reached a record £938 million in 2017, the highest on record, according to a report from the British Film Institute (BFI).
Screen Scotland recently launched, and with it came the announcement of their Broadcast Content Fund which aims to help the sustainable growth of Scotland’s broadcast production sector, allocating £3 million for the upcoming year. 
The panel will be discussing key trends in high end drama, and outlining opportunities both within Scotland and in the widening drama commissioning landscape.
