About this Event
In light of of the current situation with COVID-19, rather than cancel this event, we have adapted it! You will pick up your food package from Central Park Cafe in East Ham during the day and then we will meet online on Zoom at 8pm and then again at 9pm.
You will be taken on a foraging adventure with your mouth! You will be treated to a 4 course meal made from foods that you may of never knew you can eat or that they even existed! In between courses you will learn all about the foraged foods you have been eating, including interesting facts about the plants and their health benefits.
THE MENU
Wild green Salad
Enjoy the various flavours of wild greens. To be served with hazelnuts and a berry infused vinaigrette. Optional fried bugs to add to your salad if you dare!!
Wild Pesto Pasta
A wild pesto will be serves with homemade nettle pasta, served with and wild greens and walnuts
Seabuckthorn posset
Enjoy the unique citrus flavour of seabuckthorn in this unusual posset.
Ash keys and cheese
Enjoy the seed pods from an ash tree that have been slowly pickled. Enjoy with cheese and crackers.
Sloe port truffles and coffee and herbal tea
Finish off the evening with a coffee or herbal tea to be accompanied with chocolate truffles, with a foraging slant.... sloe berries that have been slowly infused with gin and then port.
