Foraged Fibre and Willow Weaving Workshop
We will look at what plants are locally available to you, how and when to harvest them, there preparation and how you can use them to weave
Vanessa from Penacre Willow, is an experienced basket maker and teacher, who has been weaving with the plants from her garden for over 10 years. She is constantly learning about weaving with plants and loves to share her knowledge.
If you have ever thought about what plants you can weave with, come along and let Vanessa share her vast knowledge with you. You will look at what plants are locally available to you, how and when to harvest them, their preparation and how you can use them to weave with.
There will be a selection of plant material, freshly harvested and some Vanessa has already prepared. As well as a selection of items she has made. You can try various techniques and skills before planning and selecting materials to make your very own creations.
