Foraging Walk - Summer

Foraging Walk - Summer

The Scottish Wool CentreAberfoyle, Stirling
Friday, August 21  •  10:30 AM - 12 PM
Overview

Meet the wild foods & wild medicines that are all around you, a different way to be mindful and connect with your ancestral lands.

A beginners guide to foraging. Join me on a sensory plant walk meeting the edible and medicinal plants that grow along the cycle path.

Foraging walks are not only about gathering and harvesting. They are instead a reclamation. A way to reclaim lost ancestral knowledge, a way to reconnect with your ancestral land, with our plant kin, a way to see into the 'sea of green', a way to look a new at the rebel weeds and learn from their tenacity. A way to encourage us to look after our environment, and it offers another way to experience mindfulness.

Accessibility: We will be walking along a flat cycle path, there will be a short detour off-track to a seat for tea, that path has roots underfeet to be careful of.
