Forest Bathing for LGBTQ+ women and non binary folk

The Italian Garden at Great AmbrookIpplepen, England
Sunday, Mar 8, 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm GMT
Overview

Come and find joy in connecting to nature, to others and to the queer roots of this secret garden.

As part of Nature and Therapy's week long programme of events in celebration of International Womens Week we're excited to bring you this session specifically for LGBTQ+ women and non binary folk!

Join us amongst the trees at the beautiful Italian Garden near Ipplepen in South Devon. This wonderful garden has it's roots in queer history having been designed and created to be a safe space for Arthur Graham and his friends to be themselves at a time when being gay was illegal.

During the session Katie (she/her) will guide you through a morning of nature based invites curated to enable you to slow down, find some peace and quiet and feel more present in both mind and body. The intention is that you will come away with a sense of calm, connectedness and clarity.

Forest Bathing can help you sleep better, improve mood, reduce stress and anxiety, inspire creativity, give you clarity of thought, boost your immune system and so much more.

This session is for you so please do come as you are. Stressed out. Exhausted. Overwhelmed or feeling just fine! This peaceful garden can hold you.

At a time of divisiveness lets us come together in community to find joy in nature and create time and space to nurture ourselves.

About your guide:

Katie is a gay woman from East Devon and has been immersed in nature conservation for over 20 years. In recent times she has begun a journey of more heart led work which is all about supporting people to deepen their relationship with nature for their health and wellbeing and for the sheer joy of it!
