About this eventGeorgina from Roxy Yoga will begin by taking you through a 35 minute beginner friendly yoga inspired movement session which will help to ground and tune you into the five elements of nature. You will gently prepare the body using traditional pranayama breathing techniques.You will then be guided on a slow, gentle walk through the park by Claire from Journeys in Nature where you will be offered a series of carefully crafted nature connection activities specifically designed to help support you to be more present and reconnect to the natural world. Forest bathing is based on the Japanese practice of 'shinrin-yoku' and can be adapted to be used in any natural green space. Forest bathing encourages you to slow down, quieten the mind and relax through immersing yourself in nature by connecting to your senses. It does not involve any swimming! Research shows that spending meaningful time in nature has many benefits including helping to reduce stress and blood pressure &amp; improve sleep quality &amp; concentration. Who is this suitable for?No prior experience of yoga or forest bathing is necessary, everyone aged 18+ is welcome. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed, unless they are an assistance dog. She teaches group and one to one yoga from Yin to Vinyasa multi level. Her mission is to help people reconnect to nature on a deeper level for their own mental &amp; physical wellbeing &amp; for the wellbeing of the planet! Cancellation at shorter notice than this will result in a discretionary refund only if I can rebook your place in time with someone else. You can also transfer the booking to a friend. However Journeys in Nature is under no obligation to rebook or refund for no-shows or for any cancellations within 7 days of the event. By booking a place you are agreeing to these terms &amp; conditions. The session would only be cancelled due to extreme weather, low booking numbers or other unforeseen circumstances.
