Forest Bathing Nature Walkshop
Join Danielle, a trained Forest Bathing guide, for a rejuvenating experience at the Burgie Arboretum Woodland Garden.
This Nature Walkshop is an opportunity to experience Forest Bathing, and engage with gentle guided sensory prompts to open the senses and relax the body and mind. Once we've settled and are more connected to ourselves and the beautiful aliveness surrounding us, they'll be an opportunity to respond to a few simple journal prompts (with woodland themed tea and snacks to nourish you). These simple prompts will be nature-based and connect to the intention of refreshing your goals for the month or the year.
This is the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and recharge your spirit as we move into June and beyond!
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is the translation of the Japanese term Shinrin Yoku. It is a mindfulness based practice of immersing in the woods or forests. The reference to bathing is because one is literally 'bathing' in the atmosphere of the woods, which practically speaking contains oleoresins that we inhale and which soak into our skin. These oleoresins have mutliple benefits on our bodies and mood for health and wellbeing. This is in addition to the research based evidence of simply being in nature generally. Doing this practice is therefore a wonderful gift to your own health.
