Forest School taster day

Bradfield Woods National Nature ReserveBury St Edmunds
Tuesday, Sep 22, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm
Overview

This course is aimed at those interested in learning more about Forest School ethos before undertaking accredited Forest School training

This taster day is aimed at those who are interested in learning more about the Forest School approach to learning.

It can also be used as a first step for those considering taking Forest School Leader training at a later date.

Forest School is an outdoor education approach where students visit woodlands and use natural resources to stimulate imaginative, creative, and investigative learning. Children can saw wood, whittle sticks, climb trees, build shelters, and help to light fires - all whilst learning about nature, wildlife, and the environment. These self-led activities help young people to take risks safely, take responsibility for their actions, and take care of themselves and others.

If you have any questions, do get in touch: wildertraining@suffolkwildlifetrust.org
