Join Us: Forum on the Draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy
We are inviting third sector organisations and community groups in Cardiff to come together and shape a shared response to the draft Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff Strategy.
This is a chance to ensure the voices, knowledge, and experiences of the Third Sector are fully represented in the consultation — and to contribute to building a more inclusive, neuro-affirming Cardiff.
The draft Strategy has been developed by Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff — a partnership involving Cardiff Council, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, South Wales Police, the third sector, local businesses, cultural venues, community groups, and neurodivergent individuals. Together, we share the ambition of removing barriers and creating a city where neurodivergent people can thrive.
This work also aligns closely with our current initiative to improve the support available to neurodivergent children and their families, particularly those facing barriers in accessing clinical services, and to strengthen the role and impact of the Third Sector in shaping positive change.
At the forum, we will:
- Discuss whether the draft Strategy reflects the needs and aspirations of neurodivergent people.
- Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Explore how the Strategy balances lived experience, practical delivery, and long-term vision.
- Develop a joint response that represents the Third Sector’s perspectives and expertise.
How to attend: Places are free but must be booked in advance.
Additional Information:
- Free parking will be available at the venue.
- Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided.
We hope you can join us, share your insights, and help strengthen Cardiff’s journey towards becoming truly neurodivergent friendly.
