The Learning Disability Community of Practice was established in 2013 by a group of people in Kent and Medway, who were concerned with collaborative, coproduced and coordinated care.The Ultimate Purpose of the Community of Practice is to enable people with learning disabilities to liveHealthy, Safe and Fulfilled lives.All events and activities will be concerned with enabling and empowering health, care and education professionals and allies to work in partnership with people with learning disabilities and their families.

The Forward Together project focuses on fostering stronger connections between families and professionals including in Kent & Medway.

The Forward Together project focuses on improving the lives of children, young people and adults with severe or profound learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge, and their families by building regional networks.The project, led by the Challenging Behaviour Foundation, spans three regions in the UK, including Kent and Medway. It aims to foster stronger connections between families and professionals with local support and services. The goal is to ensure they are better informed, more confident in shaping local services, and able to share learning and best practices effectively.
