Footsteps (Faiths for a Low Carbon Future) brings together faith groups in Birmingham to respond to the challenge of moving to a low carbon future.Many faith communities are taking their own actions to help the environment; by coming together we can take footsteps side-by-side towards our common goal.  The main way Footsteps does this is by organising interfaith and multi-faith events to explore our responses to the high carbon present, and take action towards a low carbon future.A small organising committee, with representatives from each of the main faith groups, meets once every few months to plan the events.

Witton Lakes Eco Hub

Footsteps &amp; Witton Lodge Community Association (WLCA) invite you to this gathering exploring local responses to the environmental and energy crises and enjoying each other’s companyThis event will be an opportunity to:<ul><li> visit the Eco Hub, use the new facilities, and get to know WLCA,</li><li> get practical ideas to reduce your energy use and bills,</li><li> have an enjoyable afternoon and take home at least one action, new idea or connection.</li></ul>Launched in April 2022, Witton Lakes Eco Hub has seen the transformation of a former park-keepers cottage into a multi-functional eco-friendly community facility. The Hub offers local people an array of services and activities providing support with health and wellbeing, and delivers activities which help tackle wider issues like fuel and food poverty. It also showcases and promotes energy efficiency, and provides advice on how to tackle fuel poverty, cultivate home-produce and pursue outdoor activities.
