Found Poetry Workshop

Come discover the fun of Found Poetry, even if you're a complete beginner! This 90 minute workshop is fun and accessible for all!

Before our quarterly poetry night this time, we're having a workshop for anyone who wants to try their hand at Found Poetry!

Found Poetry (also known as blackout poetry) is a versatile artform, where a poem is created using other sourced pieces of writing, such as book pages, newspapers... the possibilities are almost endless! These poems are then usually turned into pieces of art by incorporating imagery or drawing. But don't worry, you don't need to be a skilled artist to create striking and beautiful Found Poetry!

The April workshop will begin at 5pm, and end at 6.30, just in time for our regular (and free) poetry event to begin!

The workshop is open to anyone (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Tickets are £12pp (with a pay what you can option for low income attendees) all materials will be provided and ticket price includes a framed found poem to take home!
