Foundation Press Wednesday Workshops: Morning Edition
Draw first. Worry later.
Foundation Press Wednesday Workshops: Morning Edition
Wednesdays | 1 April – 26 August | 10:30-12:00
Free, booking essential
📍 Ground Floor Gallery
Start your Wednesday with creativity and community. Join artist duo Foundation Press for weekly morning workshops that celebrate the simple act of drawing - no judgement and experience necessary.
Inspired by Julia Cameron's Morning Pages practice from The Artist's Way (1992), these relaxed sessions take place inside Baltic’s Starting Lines exhibition. Let your hand move freely, silence your inner critic, and discover what emerges when you give yourself permission to create without pressure.
Over the course of an hour you will respond to 10 short creative drawing prompts. Each session closes with a collaborative activity to create an archive of doodles. Your contributions will be brought together in a collective publication at the end of the exhibition.
Who’s this for?
Adults of all abilities aged 16+ are welcome. Whether you haven't picked up a pencil in a while or you draw daily. These sessions are about process, not perfection.
About Foundation Press
Foundation Press, led by Adam Phillips and Deborah Bower, develops community-publishing and collaborative art and design projects. They collaborate with a wide network of artists and communities and currently resident in our Studio Space at Baltic.
There is no charge to attend this event, and we encourage donation tickets. If you're unable to attend the event, we are unable to refund your donation. Booking is essential.
