Join us on June 21st for our Founder Spotlight event, where we will showcase the journey of some of the region&#39;s most exciting entrepreneurs. This event is designed for anyone passionate about entrepreneurship to gain real insight into the business world.This month, our brilliant host, Alex Ventisei, Co-Founder or Rove will lead the discussion with our guest speaker, Joe Stevens, Founder of Red Rover Interactive.Joe started in the games industry in 2001 as a technology programmer on Formula 1 games for PlayStation One. He went on to build games engines used in many AAA franchises including, Destruction Derby, Driver, and Ghost Recon. After working in the Newcastle, Paris, and Montreal studios for Ubisoft he left big project life to start his own company in 2012. Whispering Gibbon Limited graduated Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, secured venture capital, won many industry awards/nominations (Develop 100, Tiga tech innovation, BA Start-up of the year) and securing the first clients for their patented 3D printed merchandising platform over a 4-year period. Joe went on to establish a new games studio for Lockwood Publishing in 2018, helping deliver 100% YOY user and revenue growth for F2P mobile social game Avakin Life, growing the studio to 35 people. Looking to put all his experience into practice Joe started working on new games start-up in 2022. Red Rover Interactive has just closed a £3.9m seed funding round and established development studios in Newcastle and Oslo.Take advantage of this opportunity to network with fellow entrepreneurs and experts and gain valuable insights into entrepreneurship.
