Calling all sewing enthusiasts to our Free Introduction to Sewing Workshop run by; Christ Faith Tabernacle Church. Tutor: Veronica Baxter

If you are a total beginner or haven’t done any sewing for a while, this Free Workshop is aimed to help you learn basic sewing skills. You will learn about the different parts of a sewing machine, threading it up and how to use it. We will supply the machines, the supplies and all the equipment. You will learn how to wind a bobbin, threading up and making those first stitches. We’ll also look at common mistakes and easy fixes as well as how to change a needle. At the end of the workshop you will be able to sew a seam and sew a hem. The Workshop will also include: · Setting up the sewing machine and using its functions· Learning the correct thread to be used in the machine· Learning how to use the different stitches on the sewing machine· Sewing two pieces of fabric together with a straight stitch· And more….FREE TEAS AND COFFEES PROVIDEDFree Car Park
