We are delighted to welcome back Dust, who will again be performing an eclectic mix of classical songs to our Sunday matinee crowd. Free!

DUST is a musical trio that presents modern arrangements of classical pieces and new compositions with eclectic and sometimes unexpected instrumentation. Comprised of Lizzie Holyoak on voice and keyboard, Sarah Laughton on clarinets and saxophones, and Elizabeth Marsh on world flutes, our programmes are a journey across traditional melodies, classical interludes, and contemporary compositions.

These three friends love nothing more than to blend sounds from the resonant depths of the bass clarinet, through evocative keyboard and autoharp playing, the soulful tones of the soprano sax and alto flute, to the delicate melodies of the Chinese flute. Dust’s programme is constantly evolving but currently includes ‘February Suite’ for keyboard and winds (Holyoak), ‘Dreamer’ for clarinet (John Blood), pieces by Satie, ‘Standchen’ for alto flute (Schubert), ‘Axmouth Suite’ for clarinet (Laughton), ‘Morning call’ for Native American flute (Marsh), ‘Nighthawk’ songs for voice and keyboard (Holyoak), Spanish Love Song for keyboard and winds (traditional) – and many more!
