Free Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop
Learn how to graft fruit trees with Matt McCabe from our Barrow Mead Tree Nursery.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to graft fruit trees. We will provide all the materials and equipment. If you do have a pruning knife or secateurs you could bring them.
The workshop take place on Saturday 14th February at 10.00am to 1.00pm and be led by Matt McCabe in his barn at Barrow Mead. We have 6 places still available.
You will have the opportunity to graft 3 fruit trees. More Trees will then grow these fruit trees on for a couple of growing seasons at the Barrow Mead Tree Nursery.
If you would like to keep one of the trees to take it home, we are asking for a donation of £10 which will help cover the cost of the rootstock. Any rootstock not taken home will be potted up as part of the workshop and we would also ask you help clear up at the end of the workshop.
We hope to see you there!

There is only parking for a couple of cars at Matt’s so it might be worth parking either at the nearby leisure centre, Culverhay or just off Englishcombe Lane. Allow yourself time to walk to the Barrow Mead Barn. It is a few minutes from the entrance. You should see the CTN sign. Don’t take the entrance to the Castle! Walk down the lane, it veers left and then you will see the barn on your right as you enter Barrow Mead. The views are lovely!
