Discover Oswestry Through a Lens Heritage Street Photography Walk

As part of the Love Oswestry Festival, we’re delighted to invite you to take part in a Heritage Street Photography Walk celebrating Oswestry’s past, present, and everyday life.

Led by local photographer Rob Kirman of Treasured Memories Photography, this friendly and relaxed 3-hour session is all about slowing down, looking closer, and seeing Oswestry in a new way.

Starting in the Market Square, the walk will explore some of the town’s most loved historic locations , including Llwyd Mansion, St Oswald’s Church, and Oswestry Castle, while uncovering the stories, details, and moments that give the town its unique character today.

You’ll be guided on how to capture Oswestry’s heritage through photography, whether that’s old buildings meeting modern life, quiet details that hint at the past, or everyday moments unfolding in familiar streets.

All are welcome

Any camera will do – phones, compact cameras, DSLR or mirrorless

Gentle, walkable route

No experience needed

The session begins with a short indoor introduction at the guildhall before heading out into the town at an easy pace, with plenty of time to take photographs, ask questions, and enjoy Oswestry’s atmosphere.

Whether you’re a local, a visitor, a beginner, or a keen photographer, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Oswestry’s heritage and be part of the Love Oswestry Festival.

Please note-there are 15 spaces for this workshop. If this event is full, please email loveoswestry2026@gmail.com to be added to the waiting list.

If you can no longer attend, please notify Love Oswestry so they can give your place to someone else loveoswestry2026@gmail.com
