This taster event is a free interactive event to help you determine if the Product Foundry programme is right for you and we will provide you with a taste of what you will experience on the programme. There will also be an opportunity to explore different business set up options with Ian Matthews of Moore Kingston Smith LLP.Agenda:<ul><li>9.30-10.00am - Welcome coffee &amp; networking</li><li>10-11.30am – Meet the team, and Product Foundry taster session</li><li>11.30am - Tours of the space</li></ul>Product Foundry is a free 7-week innovation programme, one session every Thursday morning, to help you develop your product ideas through hands-on design, making and testing.“The Plus X workshop is a great place to work, not just for the facilities: the team and other workshop users means that it is an inspiring and creative place, a great environment to develop prototypes, and get deep into production.”— Gareth James, Founder Tidey.coProduct Foundry is an ideal programme for you if you’d like to:<ul><li>Develop a physical product </li><li>Take part in a structured programme with a cohort of peers to keep you accountable</li><li>Rapidly test and improve your product</li><li>Learn essential skills in product design and making prototypes </li><li>Receive expert support to use a state-of-the-art prototyping workshop </li></ul>From 3D printing to user testing, you’ll be introduced to core skills in our weekly sessions, and then have supported time in our advanced prototyping workshop to further develop your skills, and your product ideas to help enhance your commercial impact. You’ll be working with a group of 8-10 peers all developing prototypes; testing ideas, functionality and user experience. You’ll learn how to generate design solutions, test your ideas, and create product specifications. BRITE members occupy space at Plus X Brighton, which has seven floors of flexible work space, collaborative meeting rooms, specialist innovation workshops for prototyping and state of the art media suites. The BRITE project is receiving up to £5m of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
