Free Spanish Language Practice

Enjoy an afternoon of Spanish flavour while practicing your S`panish speaking skills with others at the Taste of Spanish Language Lunch!

Come along to our FREE "Spanish Language Lunch" (food and drink not included) and learn some Spanish upstairs at Bordo Lounge, English Street in Carlisle!

This month we have a new format with our topic of the month: Daily routine.

So you know when you go to Spain, you´re immersed in the culture and it feels more natural to have a go at speaking the language? Well instead of having to go abroad for that experience we´re bring the experience to you!!!

Yes, you´ll be able to totally immerse yourself in the culture and language right on your doorstep, in Carlisle!

We´re hosting a Spanish Language Lunch at Bordo Lounge on Saturday 4th April from 12 to 3pm. That's the FIRST Saturday of the month.

t´s an informal get together of people who want to learn the language. An event where you can order some delicious tapas and drinks and speak the language with others in the same boat as you. But booking is essential.

We´ll be looking at a "topic of the month" so you might want to come along with a list of vocabulary or things you´d like to talk about. This month we´´'´ll be looking at daily routine. There´ll be help sheets (and me) on hand though, so no need to worry.

Don´t worry if you´re new to Spanish either. As your Spanish teacher, I will be on hand to help you with whatever you want to say. There will be lots of support and I will provide you with coping strategies if you get lost for words. There will also be other Spanish speakers there to help you without judging you, because after all, we all remember what it fees like to be starting down the path of learning a new language.

Too nervous to speak? That´s fine too. This is a zero pressure event so you´re welcome to come along and just listen to others. There´s massive value in training your ears to recognise sounds and words in Spanish. Simply join in with speaking when you feel able to.

And if you're more advanced in Spanish, you get to practice your speaking in a situation you're actually likely to encounter in the real world. Help others AND show other learners what they can achieve with effort and persistence.

This event is totally free for our Taste of Spanish course members (woohoo if that includes you) and it´s free to attend this monthly event if you´re not yet a member! So what´s to lose? The only thing you´ll need to buy is food and / or drinks, mainly so you don't get a parched mouth from talking!

And if you want to share this with friends who are also learning or want to learn Spanish, by all means invite them along, just get them to reserve their place.

It´s going to be SO much fun and I can´t wait for it to come around and to see you there!
