A FREE English workshop for ages 9-11yrs. This workshop aims to build on and extend some basic grammar and punctuation knowledge and terms.

This FREE English Workshop is for those aged 9-11yrs. It concentrates on building and extending their knowledge of Grammatical Terms, using advanced punctuation and vocab into their Writing- with a fun theme of course! This workshop will also give you a feel for what tutition may feel like with Explore Learning, with a guided tutor to give feedback and any further information you may require along the way.

Learning covered in the workshop:

• Use passive verbs to affect the presentation of information in a sentence.

• Use modal verbs or adverbs to indicate degrees of possibility.

• Indicate grammatical and other features by using commas to clarify meaning or avoid

ambiguity in writing

Your children will learn how to :
• Demonstrate an understanding of the passive and active voice.

• Create sentences using modal verbs.

• Demonstrate how to use advanced punctuation correctly.

• Identify synonyms and antonyms for words.
