This workshop will be suitable for musicians age 8+, from beginner to advanced, and you don't have to be currently attending a Fèis Latharna class. The workshop will be modified to suit the musicians' age and stage, and the mix of instruments played. We are delighted to offer a free ticket to the evening concert to those who attend the workshop!

We have an exciting opportunity for young musicians to work with Darach, the acclaimed duo of Galician producer Hugo Franco and Scottish violinist Roo Geddes. Roo and Hugo will be performing in the Rockfield Centre on the evening of the 11th of February, and the young musicians will have an afternoon workshop and receive a free ticket to attend the evening concert.Roo Geddes, a BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2025 finalist, is the first violinist to complete a Jazz Masters in Scotland and serves as a lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He was awarded a teaching diploma (with distinction) from the ABRSM and works with programmes like El Sistema and the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. Hugo Franco is an accomplished Galician guitarist and producer, rooted in traditional music but known for blending genres from Bluegrass to Trap, and is a vital element in the Spanish folk scene through his work with E-Trad and Marc Xarau
