Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars - Paul McDaniel
Free comedy at Glasgow's OG comedy club - in the Merchant City.
Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars returns to Glasgow's OG comedy club on Monday 26th January.
This week's headliner is Paul McDaniel - Northern Irish comic and [nearly] Scottish Comedian Of The Year winner! A regular performer at Glasgow and Edinburgh’s top comedy nights, Paul has shared the bill with comedy greats such as Frankie Boyle and Fred Macaulay. Come see the man who once made a promoter laugh so much they nearly went into labour - you can't ask for more than that!
- “An inexplicable delight” (Chortle)
- “one of the most underrated acts on the Scottish circuit” (Wow 24/7)
Our support act for the evening is the iconic Amelia Bayler, popstar-come-comedian-come-DJ. Amelia's infectious energy and musical stylings have seen her win Best Newcomer at the Scottish Comedy Awards and reach the finals of the Musical Comedy Awards. You won't want to miss her particular brand of silliness.
"this is a one-woman mission to make musical comedy cool again" (Rolling Stone)
We'll also have sets from some of Scotland's most exciting up-and-coming comedians - all held together by our resident compere Roddy Gordon. It's the best free night out in Glasgow.
Doors 7.45pm, show 8pm.
