Overview

Free comedy at Glasgow's OG comedy club - in the Merchant City.

Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars returns to Glasgow's OG comedy club.

This week's headliner is the incomporable Raymond Mearns. Perhaps best known recently as the 'Glesga Da' from the eponymous podcast, Mearns has been a full time actor and comedian for over 20 years. Loved across Scotland for his phenomenal wit and improvisational skills, Raymond has appeared in the likes of Limmy's Show and BBC's Breaking the News. His acting CV is arguably even more impressive, with roles in critically acclaimed films like Ae Fond Kiss, It's a Free World (both directed by the legendary Ken Loach) and Limbo.

Any Raymond Mearns gig is an unforgettable experience - make sure you don't miss this one!

  • "A genuine improvisational genius" (Frankie Boyle)
  • "A man that knows how to swear properly” (Billy Connolly)

We'll also have sets from some of Scotland's most exciting up-and-coming comedians - all held together by our resident compere Roddy Gordon. It's the best free night out in Glasgow.

Doors 7.45pm, show 8pm.
