On Friday 13th February the acclaimed comedy legend Raymond Mearns presents an extra-long dose of his searing brand of comedy at Number 57, with support from rising star Pierce Higgins.

Raymond Mearns is one of the UK’s busiest and most respected circuit comics. Described by Frankie Boyle as ‘a genuine improvisational genius’, he has gained recognition as one of the most consistently hilarious comedians in the land. Balancing his comedy career with film and TV, he has had roles in Rab C Nesbitt, Limmy’s Show and BBC Scotland’s Breaking The News. He also presents the hit podcast ‘Glesga Da’ with fellow comedian Stuart Mitchell.

“Exceptionally funny and cathartic” – The Scotsman

“A level of consistency few can match” – Edinburgh Evening News

“A man who knows how to swear properly” – Billy Connolly

“Every line that issues from this man is funny” – Chortle

“A personality so huge it fills the room” – The List

The support act for this show will be Scottish comedy rising star Pierce Higgins, as seen on hit viral vid series Jamaica Street. He was recently support act of choice for Gary Faulds at Glasgow’s Pavillion Theatre.

“Hilarious” – Gary Faulds

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**

· Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.

· Line-ups can be subject to change at short notice.

· The show is in two parts separated by an interval. Doors open at 7pm, one hour before the start time of 8pm. Please arrive before the show starts but not before 7pm. Attendees who arrive late will not be granted admission or a refund.

· This is NOT a standing event. All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper.

· Entrance and exit is via the side door only; please wait outside at the door for ticket check and to be seated by the doorman.

· Tables are limited and you may have to share one. If you choose to sit on a row, please move all the way down to the end and don’t leave empty seats between groups. You may not be able to sit together if the remaining chairs available are spread out. If you are particular about seating we recommend arriving as early as possible.

· Seats in the front half of the room must be filled before seating in the back half is allocated.

· Seating in the alcove at the back is reserved for the comedians and their guests only.

· Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…

· Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography.

· These shows are for people aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.

· Comedy Dundee does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.

· Audience members who repeatedly break these rules will be asked to leave.
