FRIENDS LECTURE

I will be talking about the science and technology that goes on behind the scenes on a nursery - the developments we have been making in recent years and the current research into robotics and AI to modernise plant production.

I started at Hillier as an Apprentice in 1987 where I caught 'the plant bug' following 4 years training at Writtle I have managed various Nurseries Including Notcutts and Lowaters, I returned to Hillier 8 years ago to Head up the Wholesale Nursery team. I am involved in several industry committees, sit on a couple of RHS forums assessing plants for AGM and am on the board of a cross sector Crop Protection Business - Horticulture Crop Protection

The entry charge includes a cup of tea or coffee on arrival. The cost is £15.00.
