Speaker: IAN HIGHTON BSc, MSc: Technical Director
Ian Highton Technical Director at EDSL. Originally studied Mathematics and Computing at Durham, then Applied Mathematics at Cranfield Institute for MSc and PhD. Has worked on the specification, architecture and development of software for the thermal, energy and environmental analysis of buildings for over 35 years. Since the late 90s, has overseen the complete re-development of Tas as a native Windows product, from its previous workstation platforms. Is currently continuing to work on day-to-day Tas development, but is also devising a ‘next generation’ set of calculation procedures to take advantage of GPUs and neural networks.
