Discover how youth education and partnerships can turn e-waste into environmental, social, and economic opportunities.
From E-Waste to E-Value: Circular Solutions for Electronics brings together local government, industry leaders, social enterprises and young voices to explore how we can transform electronic waste into environmental, social and economic opportunity.
Taking place during London Climate Action Week, this online roundtable will spotlight practical, place-based solutions that support the transition to a thriving circular economy for electronics.
The discussion will examine how councils, businesses and communities can work together to extend the life of electronic products through reuse, repair and responsible recycling reducing waste. In doing so, it will explore how these approaches can reduce waste, cut carbon emissions and create business opportunities and local green jobs.
Panelists will share real-world examples from Kingston’s growing green economy, addressing both the challenges and opportunities involved in shifting away from a linear “take-make-use-dispose” model.
With contributions from Jen Baughan (CEO, Solutions for the Planet), Paul Crossman (CEO, ReLove Technology), Timmy de Vos (CEO/Founder, Race Against Waste) and Ioanna Rossi and Leonard D’Crus from Kingston Council, the conversation will be grounded in policy, innovation and delivery.
Adding a powerful intergenerational perspective, a local primary school teacher and student will reflect on why electronic waste matters to younger generations and how education and community action can drive the transition to a circular economy.
Together, the panel will explore how Kingston’s green economy programme is turning ambition into action and what other places can learn from this journey.
