Our young people are the leaders of the future, at Dare to Be we want to make sure they all have the tools they need to be able to sail through stormy weather. According to the latest facts from the university of Cambridge 1 in 5 young people between 12 and 18 are suffering with depression. We feel it’s time for us to step in and hold these young people by creating a space where they feel safe and able to do deep work, so they don’t drown when it seems the World is crumbling at their feet. If you take an old wonky oak tree, we can’t make it grow straight but a sapling we can guide it to the light.Dare to Be is an art production company creating experiences focussing on initiation transformation, to empower our teens to Dare to dream their dreams alive. Facilitating spaces and experiences for parents and their children to come together. Dare to Be’s event ‘From Harm to Harmony' focuses on understanding the problems that our young leaders experience, then using different facilitators, professors &amp; shamans who will share their wisdom and give practical advice and exercises so that we can face these challenging times better equipped for the future. For an empowered healing experience. Transforming the blue print for future generations.During the evening you will be taken on a journey from understanding the impact society has on our own well being as well as that of our natural environment. The journey will consist of professional speakers sharing their scientific knowledge as-well as medical understanding of global issues, to focus on how to use different techniques to bring about personal calm and well being. There will be workshops on mindfulness, Earth dances, Movement &amp; Breath, as well as a heart opening cacao ceremony with a chocolate fountain. The evening will culminate in an uplifting session of fun dancing to World renowned DJ Yaacov Darling Khan and his movement medicine. ………….........Event Run Through6pm Kelly Hempstead, Event Facilitator, Film Director and Producer- welcome talk and house keeping6.10pm Viewing of film: From Harm to Harmony6.40pm Jojo Mehta, StopEcocide Co-founder, will talk about a topic that is causing a lot of young people anxiety: climate change, she will talk about the global solution “ecocide” that creates a law that protects the natural world from being destroyed.7pm Unfortunately Professor Jonathon Hill is not able to attend, we will still be able to share his post covid mental health paper)7.10pm Nicola MacDonald, Author and Mindfulness coach will be speaking about her own experiences and how mindfulness helped her. She will also be explaining how to recognise anxiety and what tools to use to turn it around and a brief explanation of what mindfulness is.7.30pm Yaacov Darling Khan, Shaman and Co-founder of Movement Medicine will give us his opinion of why he thinks so many young people are suffering with depression and what tools to use to help them through these times.7.50pm - 10min break8pm - start workshops (simultaneously run): 8pm Embodied Dance/Breathwork workshop with Benjamin Joshuatree, Breathwork &amp; Emobodiment Coach 8pm Mindfulness workshop with Nicola MacDonald 8.30pm - Regroup in groups of three for sharing9pm - Heart opening Cacao Ceremony/breathwork with Choco and Janey Mondal, Breathwork Facilitator9.30pm - Embodiment Workshop and closing ceremony with Yaacov Darling Khan10pm - Soup, bread and connection.………….........Our amazing speakers and facilitators:Yaacov Darling Khan – Is a modern day Shaman, he is one of the foremost teachers of embodied consciousness worldwide and the co-founder of Movement Medicine. www.darlingkhan.com Benjamin Joshua Tree – His unique way of working combines breath work, embodiment and coaching, to empower you to release all that holds you back and access your full health, vitality and power. www.benjaminjoshuatree.com Denise Rowe– earth dance facilitator, Denise brings a meeting place between movement and spirituality, supporting you to reconnect with gratitude and joy, to trust yourself and know your power. www.earthdances.co.uk( Unfortunately Denise is not able to come, her gift will be forwarded to the next event)Jojo Mehta - co-founded Stop Ecocide in 2017 alongside Polly Higgins to support the establishment of ecocide as a crime at the International Criminal Court. After Polly Higgins asked me to make a film for her in 2018, she Dared me to be Great. Making the film From Harm to Harmony was the catalyst for me to really believe in what I think is important and to do something about it. The film was premiered at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague in 2019. Now I want to inspire other people to dare to Be, so that they can dare to dream they're dreams alive and we can all co-create the World we want to live in.
