Get ready to turn your school's climate ideas into real action with practical tips and hands-on guidance.
Come to our free Teacher training event at Calvert Devon, a stunning location close to Barnstaple. Calvert are providing a delicious free lunch for delegates. The day will be interactive , hands on and (weather permitting) partially outdoors.
This event is aimed at Devon Teachers and school adults.
We will be focusing on helping Teachers to implement their climate action plans for their schools with plenty of ideas, resources and contacts to support them.
There will be presentations and workshops from many organisations and also a Devon School who have written a climate action plan and have started to implement it.
There will be the opportunity to network with other Teachers and school adults.
Some of the contributors to the day include:
- Recycle Devon education team, workshops and presentations about composting and improving recycling systems in your school
- Eco Schools- Count Your Carbon. Adam Flint from Eco Schools will talk delegates through the very useful count your carbon tool for schools
- National Education Nature Park- Looking at biodiversity and school grounds, workshop on how to use their mapping tool and how to increase biodiversity in school grounds
- Calvert Devon- tour and introduction to their offer for schools
- Climate Ambassadors- interactive presentation looking at steps schools can take to implement their climate action plans and the free DfE support available
