Front Tier Comedy returns to The Wee Bear cafe with another line up of stellar comedy talent, headlined by the award winning international touring comic Ray Bradshaw.

International award-winning comic, Ray, spent 2021/22 touring the UK as John Bishop’s handpicked support act, having previously toured with Frankie Boyle in 2019. Ray was the first comedian to ever win a Scottish Culture Award and is a regular host of Scotland’s most popular radio show, Breaking The News.

Ray is a CODA (like in the Oscar winning film) and grew up with deaf parents. All of his shows are performed in both BSL and English, with Deaf Comedy Fam becoming the first ever live comedy experience for more than 800 deaf audience members.

Ray’s clever, charming and very funny comedy has received critical acclaim from critics and fans alike.

Opening the show is top comedian and actress Rachel Jackson. Rachel is an Edinburgh native with a quick mind and a sharp tongue. She has made somewhat of a name for herself in Scotland and is renowned for her fearless style and candid yet loveable demeanour.

She has developed several sketches for the BBC culminating in a web series entitled Bunny Boiler for BBC Three which she also wrote and was received with critical acclaim. She performed her debut hour at The Edinburgh Fringe last year and wowed audiences and critics alike. Earning rave reviews and many new fans.

She is also an accomplished actress and has been seen in ‘Two Door’s Down’, ‘Outlander’ ‘Scot Squad’.

Support comes from BBC New Comedian of the Year finalist Dean T Bierne, one of the fastest rising comedy stars of the scene at the moment. Smashing onto the scene in late 2021, Dean T. Beirne’s likable misfit style of comedy has seen him making waves all over the UK, combining stories of foster care, growing up in Dubai and nerdy anecdotes. In 2023, he reached the final of the BBC New Comedy Awards, was a wildcard semi-finalist in the Student Chortle Comedy Award and co-hosts the comedy horror movie podcast, Blood, Sweat and Fears.
