Frontiers of AI for Science: Machine Learning for Climate and Beyond

Frontiers of AI for Science: Machine Learning for Climate and Beyond

LIMS (London Institute for Mathematical Sciences)London, England
Wednesday, Jan 21, 2026 from 9 am to 5 pm GMT
Overview

A one-day AI for Science workshop features cutting-edge research talks, the SPDE Learning Competition 2025 award, and a panel discussion.

This workshop brings together researchers from diverse scientific backgrounds who share a common interest in AI for Science. The programme features a heterogeneous line-up of speakers working at the frontiers of their fields and AI, fostering the exchange of ideas and cross-disciplinary dialogue. Topics include machine learning for PDEs and SPDEs, hybrid model and AI computing, as well as applications in climate science, biomedical imaging, or plasma confinement. As a part of the event, the results of the Singular SPDE Learning Competition 2025 (https://hackathon2.deepintomlf.ai/competitions/92/) will be announced, and there will be a presentation from the winning team.

This event is supported by the EPSRC grant [UKRI 2385] entitled "Creating Foundational Benchmarks for AI in Physical and Biological Complexity".
