Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop

Learn wedge grafting to make new trees or add new varieties to established trees. Take home a tree you've made or scions to graft.

Join us in person for a hands on workshop on grafting fruit trees. It's so much easier than you think and you can take home a tree you've made. We'll be working on apple trees but this technique is applicable to most fruit trees grown in Wales.

You'll learn the cleft graft and can cut your own scions (the variety you want to graft) directly from the orchard at The Farm. We'll have eating, cooking and cider apple varieties available. We'll show you how to graft different varieties onto an existing tree and how to make a new tree by grafting the scion onto a rootstock. We'll also show you how to use everyday materials rather than buying special equipment

We'll have a lunch break and free hot drinks will be available. You're welcome to bring your own packed lunch, light lunch is available at The Farm cafe and Fforestfach shops are nearby.
