Come and learn the art of fruit tree pruning with apple expert Nigel Deacon. Pruning helps to optimise fruit production and promotes tree health. Spend the day in the organic orchard at historic Cotesbach Hall where you will be shown how to prune the heritage fruit trees, many of which are local varieties. After working up an appetite in the orchard you will be served a hearty lunch of bread and home-made soup (using produce from Cotesbach Organic Gardens).

Participants will need to bring their own secateurs and gloves, long-handle loppers would also be useful.
